A telephone recorder saved us thousands.

We used to have a big problem with customers scamming our rate plan system. We would have a customer call in and make a change to a higher rate plan. Then, after a few days when they had a lot of usage they would call in again and demand it changed back. They would then claim that they never made a request for the rate plan change and we’d have to credit back the difference.
We solved the problem by using a telephone recorder on each of our customer calls. Through the telephone recorder we could verify whether the customer actually made the change. And, if they requested the change we could even play back the call for them to prove it.
I’m glad to say it worked perfectly. We were so satisfied with the new equipment we even bought a new speaker phone and telephone headset.
